Not long ago, our YTOP’s technical team conducted a rigorous steering force test on manganese steel casters. The purpose of this test is to verify that YTOP manganese steel casters can easily cope with the challenges of traditional caster brands while bearing heavy loads.
Test Environment
In order to simulate real-life scenarios, we chose six traditional caster brands to conduct the test at the same time. In the same test environment, we test the performance of casters under the same load.
Test Process
Steering resistance: The testing machine is adjusted to the level, the caster is mounted on the testing machine, the rated load (800 Kg) is applied to the caster along the plumb direction, the testing machine is activated, the horizontal force is applied along the traveling direction of the wheel, and the maximum value of the wheel’s rotation, F, is read.
Steering resistance: The testing machine is adjusted horizontally, the caster is mounted on the testing machine, the rated load is applied to the caster along the plumb direction (800 Kg), the testing machine is started and the horizontal force is applied along the vertical direction of the wheel traveling.
(800 Kg), start the tester, apply the horizontal force along the vertical direction of the wheel, and read the maximum value of F1 that makes the wheel rotate.
Measure several groups, remove the maximum and minimum values, and take the average value.
Test results
After rigorous testing, we came to the following conclusions:
YTOP medium-sized 4 inch TPU movable wheels are at the lowest value of both rotational resistance and steering resistance under the condition of carrying 800kg. That is to say, under heavy load, YTOP manganese steel casters can be pushed more labor-saving.
